EMERGENCE
The EMERGENCE EP was produced by Michael Staniak as a result of a month long artist residency in Mallorca, November 2023. The original audio content was created as an accompaniment to his visual art exhibition of the same name, hosted in January and February of 2024 at La Bibi Gallery, Palma de Mallorca. Live recordings of the surrounding environment taken during the residency were processed using various forms of synthesis, mostly in Eurorack format. These sounds were then arranged into long form scores to which audiences could listen while viewing the exhibition.
Featuring six condensed tracks, the EMERGENCE EP takes segments of the scores produced in Mallorca and, with some traditionally "musical" studio additions performed in Australia, has been released as a song-form sampling of the EMERGENCE exhibition soundtrack.

TTT (Transit Through Tokyo)
TTT (Transit Through Tokyo) is a collection of recordings captured by Michael Staniak in October 2023 during a research trip to Tokyo and Kyoto. Through various sound synthesis methods and live performance, this studio album aims to recreate a beat-driven atmosphere of the artist's first journey through Tokyo. This is Michael Staniak's first full length studio album release.
